Cooling into the weekend, rain arrives Saturday

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Happy Friday, everyone!

Today looks pleasant with highs topping out in the low to mid 70s. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

The cooldown continues into the weekend.

Clouds will increase Saturday ahead of rain arriving by the afternoon to evening. Winds could become gusty around that timeframe.

The chance of lightning is low, but an isolated rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out. Highs will remain below normal in the mid to upper 60s.

A few light showers could linger into Sunday morning before clouds gradually clear during the afternoon. It will be even cooler, with highs only reaching the upper 50s to low 60s.

A dry and warming pattern will follow. Monday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 60s.

Temperatures will continue climbing through next week, returning to the low 80s by Thursday.
