Wednesday Local Alert Weather

KTVZ

Good morning Central Oregon!

Another day of hot weather and hazy conditions is on its way for us across the region!

We will be well above average out there today will temperatures right at or above 100 degrees today for daytime highs.

There is an excessive heat warning set to go into effect this afternoon due to that high heat we are seeing, and the warm overnight lows that we are experiencing as well.

Make sure to be safe if you are outside, and check in on the elderly, and children as well as pets, plants and livestock!

We also have a fire weather warning set to go into place Thursday as well due to the dry and hot weather.

The hazy and smoky conditions have the air quality level at a moderate level, meaning the air quality is deemed to be acceptable, but those that are sensitive to air pollution should be careful when going outside.

Overnight tonight lows will be warm as we don’t cool off very much in the 50s to 60s across Central Oregon tonight.

This hot weather will carry with us into tomorrow but there looks to be a bit of relief on the way as we head towards the weekend.

Thursday will bring another hot day, but then Friday we dip down into the 90s and by the weekend we are back into the 80s, with much cooler overnight lows.

Stay cool out there today Central Oregon!
