Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY is in effect through Tuesday morning for air quality levels suffering due to smoke. The air mass will not move much for the next few days, so we’ll see poor air quality levels from time to time. Hazy skies will stay with us.
Overnight our skies stay clear and hazy. High pressure will sit overhead through the weekend and beginning of next week. Lows will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s, which is right around average.
Bundle up early Saturday morning if you’re heading out the door, but by the afternoon you won’t need sleeves! Daytime highs for Saturday will be our warmest of the week. Highs will top out in the low to mid 70s and upper 70s for some, which is well above where we should be for mid October. We’ll see sunshine this weekend and just a few high clouds.
Lows going into Sunday will be slightly above average in the low to mid 30s. Sunday will see another nice warm day with highs in the low to mid 70s. We’ll still see that haze and smoke sticking around with calm winds.
The beginning of next week will still see sunshine overhead with smoky skies. Highs will be a little cooler in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s.
By Tuesday some clouds will start to roll in ahead of the next system arriving. This system will bring cooler temperatures — bringing us back to average in the lower 60s — and a chance for showers. Unsettled weather arrives by midweek. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies and drizzly conditions.
Have a safe & happy weekend!
(Do me a favor and take advantage of the nice weather! If you’re outside and have a viewer photo to send our way to be seen at 5, 6, 6:30, and 10 then SHARE it with us!)
