Texas sues Biden administration seeking to stop federal agents from cutting razor wire on border

McALLEN, Texas (AP) — The Texas Attorney General has filed a lawsuit over the breach of the state’s controversial razor wire, strung along the border in key areas to deter immigration. The lawsuit filed Tuesday says federal agents break through the wire to help entangled migrants or to gain access to those waiting to be processed by immigration officers. The federal complaint alleges the practice increased in late September when thousands of migrants entered through Eagle Pass, Texas. It says those actions are disrupting the state’s border security efforts. The razor wire is just part of a series of measures by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to block border crossings from Mexico.
