A rainy week ahead

Happy Sunday everyone!

We are experiencing another rainy day here on the high desert. Breezy winds are also expected, slightly below advisory levels.

Tonight temperatures will drop into the 40s under cloudy skies.

An atmospheric river event is underway bringing more moisture and higher temperatures to the region. As a result, snow levels will rise through Wednesday peaking at over 9000 feet. Rising temperatures will turn precipitation into rain on snowpack, resulting in runoff. Although rivers and streams are expected to rise, river flooding is not expected at this time.

We have a rainy week ahead of us. Over the next few days, expect high temperatures between the low 40s and upper 50s. The week will kick off on a warmer note, but we'll experience a cool down around the middle of the week.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
