Cold temperatures with freezing fog possible early and slick roads

Happy Monday, Central Oregon!  This morning brings more cold temperatures and slippery roads in the area.  Patches of Fog and Freezing fog are possible in Central and North Central Oregon. Today should bring partly sunny conditions but wind chill values could have temperatures feeling close to zero.

Although today is expected to be mostly dry with a slight chance for some light snow flurries, the main concern during the short term forecast will be snow, or a mix of snow, and freezing rain, and eventually rain Tuesday night through Thursday morning as temperatures increase above freezing

and snow levels rise.

Winds will be, for the most part, light and variable today in the 5-10 mph range until the evening when things relax a bit. Even light winds can affect the wind chill value and make the air feel extremely cold.

Highs will be in the teens and 20s and overnight lows still look to be quite cold and mostly in the single digits.
