A professional bowler who was arrested while he was competing in a tournament has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison on charges related to child sexual abuse material. Brandon Novak was taken into custody Feb. 1 by U.S. Marshals at the 2024 U.S. Open Bowling Tournament in Indianapolis. The 35-year-old Chillicothe, Ohio, man pleaded guilty in April to 15 charges, including use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. He was sentenced Thursday. Novak has been a pro bowler for more than a decade.
