Redmond woman arrested in traffic stop on fentanyl possession charge; apartment raid finds drugs, cash, scale
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – A multi-agency investigation over the past several months led to the arrest early Wednesday morning of a Redmond woman on fentanyl possession charges during a traffic stop by Redmond Police Street Crimes Unit detectives.
The arrest of the woman, who police did not identify, resulted from an investigation that included a multi-jurisdictional surveillance operation, Lieutenant Eric Beckwith said.
A search warrant later was executed at a Redmond-area apartment, Beckwith said. Seized evidence included fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, cash and a digital scale.
"The case has been referred to the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of additional drug-related charges," Beckwith said in a news release.
"The Redmond Police Department would like to thank CODE and DCSO Street Crimes for their assistance in the investigation," the lieutenant added.
