MountainStar Family Relief Nursery kicks off Birdies 4 Babies campaign to protect most vulnerable children

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Thank you to everyone who made the 10th Annual Birdies 4 Babies (B4B) event a huge success! With the support of so many dedicated individuals, MountainStar Family Relief Nursery kicked off its fiscal year fundraising efforts in spectacular fashion, raising critical funds and awareness for its vital services. Now, our focus shifts to the B4B Campaign as we reach out to the broader community to keep this momentum going.

MountainStar's mission is simple yet powerful: to keep local babies and toddlers safe from abuse. Statistics show that half of all child abuse victims in the community are under the age of six, and 10% are under the age of one. These are alarming figures, but MountainStar believes they can change. The organization works tirelessly to identify families experiencing high stressors and provides the support needed before abuse happens. By stepping in early, MountainStar aims to prevent children from being removed from their homes and placed in foster care, protecting their long-term health, stability, and happiness.
