TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) – A fire Thursday evening destroyed a Terrebonne manufactured home, also burning an outbuilding and vehicle, while firefighters contended with an arcing power line, officials said.

Redmond Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched around 6:20 p.m. to the residential structure fire in the 300 block of F Avenue, Fire Marshal/Public Information Officer Tom Mooney said Friday.

A large smoke column was visible as firefighters headed to the scene, where they found the manufactured home, outbuilding and vehicle ablaze, Mooney said.

“Crews had to contend with stopping the spread of the fire while a power line was actively arcing on the ground,” Mooney said.

Firefighters deployed several hose lines to keep the fire contained to the property and protect other homes nearby, the fire marshal said.

Two residents were given a medical check-up and refused treatment and transport, Mooney said. One firefighter received a minor knee injury, which did not require medical assistance.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, he said.

Redmond firefighters were assisted by the Bend and Crooked River Ranch fire departments and Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies.
