ALBANY, Ore. (KTVZ) – An Oregon State Police K-9 team seized 40 pounds of crystal methamphetamine during an I-5 traffic stop this week and arrested the driver, a California woman.

An OSP trooper stopped the vehicle around 5 p.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation on the freeway in Linn County. During the stop, the trooper recognized signs of possibly drug trafficking and deployed his drug detection K-9.

A search of the vehicle turned up 40 pounds of crystal meth in the trunk, troopers said.

The driver, a 27-year-old woman from Shafter, California, was arrested and booked into jail.

OSP said it had no other information available to release.
