Gray and rainy start to the work week, high-level snow expected, Bachelor to open Friday
The week ahead will be defined by a series of rainy and chilly days with some wintry mix overnight and early each morning. The mountains will see snow off and on all week which has promoted the opening of Mt. Bachelor this Friday to season pass holders. The early snow has also pushed the opening day to November 22nd for everyone. This is great news for all the riders in the region.
The weather will be, once again, in the off and on category for the lower elevations. The chance for some light rain and snow mix early in the day followed by a break in the afternoon ahead of more cold rain and snow overnight. Little to no accumulation at lower elevations, but slick travel is expected.
Wednesday looks to be the wettest day in the region with high level snow most of the day and off and on light rain over the high desert. Spotty showers linger Thursday, but more of a nuisance than any accumulation. Although we need to be ready for patchy ice each morning as temps dip near freezing in some spots.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are expected to be dry with below-normal high temperatures in the 40s and crisp overnight lows in the 20s.
Time to start thinking about winterizing your house, car and lawns.
