Will Van Vactor chosen as new Crook County manager
PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Crook County said Friday it is delighted to announce Will Van Vactor as the new County Manager, effective Saturday, Nov. 16.
Previously serving as the Community Development Director, Van Vactor brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, according to the county's announcement, which continues in full below:
During his tenure as Community Development Director, Van Vactor was instrumental in promoting cooperation and driving results. He made significant strides in building partnerships and enhancing operational efficiencies. His efforts have garnered widespread respect both within the county organization and across the community.
Commissioner Susan Hermreck expressed confidence in Van Vactor's leadership, stating, "Will's established record of fostering collaboration and building consensus in Community Development will be crucial as we address the various challenges and opportunities that lie ahead."
Commissioner Brian Barney noted, "I’m excited for Will; he is deeply committed to the community and has a robust understanding of how Crook County operates, having been with us for several years."
Commissioner Seth Crawford commented, "I'm thrilled about Will taking on this new position. He has excelled as Interim Manager, and I think he will do a great job."
