Medford firefighters rescue man after snow-covered carport collapsed on him
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Medford Fire Department crews rescued a man trapped beneath his carport. Medford Fire says the carport collapsed Wednesday under the weight of the snow, trapping the homeowner underneath.
A neighbor heard calls for help and called 911. A heavy rescue team was able to lift the carport and free the man.
Officials want to remind you with heavy snow in the forecast, please be careful around structures that may be at risk of collapse.
