COCC rededicates expanded Veterans Resource Center in honor of late Medal of Honor recipient Robert Maxwell

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A special operations Chinook helicopter landed at the COCC football field on Wednesday as the college's relocated and expanded Veterans Resource Center was rededicated in honor of the late Medal of Honor recipient Robert D. Maxwell.

The staff at the center are there to help veterans access all the benefits and services they're entitled to.

COCC has a special connection with Maxwell. He started the college's auto mechanic program back in 1966, and it lasted for about 20 years under his guidance.
