Increasing clouds and below normal temperatures into mid week

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

Conditions today are quiet and normal with highs in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. Skies are mostly clear to start but clouds will increase into the night, becoming mostly cloudy.

A warm front is approaching, bringing in cloud cover and chances for rain to the Northwest. Rain falls behind a warm front, so by tomorrow, areas across the PNW will experience a rare showery August day. Rain chances are slim to none for Central Oregonians but areas along the eastern slopes or northern Jefferson County have the best chances for a stray shower, or a few sprinkles here and there.

A cold front is trailing behind the warm front, which will help drop almost everyone’s temperatures into the 70s by Thursday.

You should see skies clear through the second half of the work week and temperatures heating up into the weekend. Look for 80s and 90s through the weekend and into early next week.

Have a happy Tuesday!
