Mostly cloudy skies and below normal temperatures
Bend, OR (KTVZ) -
An upper level low and accompanying surface low moving just to our north today are cooling our temperatures down into the 70s both today and tomorrow. Thursday will be the coolest day of the week with temperatures 6 to 8 degrees below normal for this time of year. Normal for Bend is the mid 80s.
These low pressure systems have also brought widespread cloud cover to the Northwest and rare August showers. Chances for rain increase as you travel north and west. Most of Central Oregon will stay dry and mostly cloudy today but there is a slight chance for a stray shower or a few sprinkles on your windshield.
Clouds will clear tomorrow and sunny skies stick around for the weekend.
A ridge of high pressure will begin to build this weekend which will heat the temperatures back up into the 80s and 90s. The hot pattern is expected to carry into next week.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
