Wet, cool weather continues with the chance for heavy rain today
Bend, OR (KTVZ) -
The wet pattern will continue with off and on showers through Thursday. Today, most thunderstorms should stay further east as the upper level low bringing this weather moves further that way. While Central Oregonians still have the opportunity to hear a few rumbles of thunder this afternoon, chances have dropped and showers are more likely.
Today will be a soaker, with the potential for rain totals to reach an inch in some areas. It is likely that most areas get around 0.25-0.50” but a select few areas will see showers and the chance for thunderstorms redeveloping overhead again and again. This process is called “training” and increases the potential for flash flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch has been released for Central and Eastern Oregon for today and tomorrow. The biggest concern will be on or near burn scars where the ground is dry and lacking vegetation. Debris flows are possible. Localized flooding in urban and poor drainage areas is also possible. Be safe and remember to never drive through flood waters.

Wet weather tapers off into Friday and we’ll be dry for a few days before rain briefly returns on Sunday.
Highs will be in the upper 60s and low 70s today and tomorrow but heat back to near normal heading into the weekend.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and be safe!
