Dry week ahead with cool mornings and warm afternoons, breezy at times
(KTVZ, Bend Ore.) Expect to see plenty of sunshine this week as we are moving into a quiet and dry pattern. Winds will be noticeable, but not overwhelming as we push into the middle of the work week.
A thin ridge of high pressure will be the feature responsible for the warmer than normal air temperatures ahead. Expect the ridge to stay over the region until the end of the week, so enjoy the 80s if you like them.

Tuesday will be a sunny and dry day with a crisp start and a warm finish. Morning lows will be in the low 30s in La Pine and Sisters before warming to the 70s by the end of the day. Bend and other cities to the north and east will start out in the 40s. 80s are likely all week in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and points north.
Wednesday will begin slightly warmer with lows in the 40s and 50s (except La Pine and Sunriver that being in the upper 30s). Highs reach the upper 70s and middle 80s across the Tri-Counties.
This pattern of cool to chilly starts and warm afternoons will continue all week until at least Saturday. This ridge is narrow when compared to massive warming ridges that are present most of the time, but it will be persistent.
Off the coast an area of low pressure will develop later this week but is not expected to move this far north. The ridge finally breaks down over the weekend and we will drop back to the 70s on Sunday and Monday.
Normal highs for this week are the middle 70s, and lows are normally in the low 40s.
Please, Stay safe.
