First day of fall Monday: chilly morning, pleasant afternoon
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We are expecting drier conditions ahead as a cold front moves east out of the region today.
Clear skies tonight will bring lows in the 30s and 40s, with southern Deschutes County dipping below freezing. That means a chilly start Monday morning, before afternoon highs climb into the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies.
Tomorrow’s autumnal equinox marks the official change of seasons...hello, fall! This results in a nearly equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes.
Fall may be here, but it won’t feel like it just yet. Dry, warm weather will stick around for the next several days. By Tuesday, highs return to the 80s again. Â
Temperatures peak on Wednesday when some areas may reach 90. Looks like summer isn’t quite ready to let go just yet. Enjoy the sunshine!
