Rainy period coming to an end, warming over the weekend
(KTVZ, Bend Ore). Today will be the last day of rain for a while as the string of showers comes to an end. The region saw less than a half inch of rain over the past several days, but it did soak into the soil nicely. The winds were very robust, especially Wednesday, but will be settling down heading into the weekend.
Showers are likely to linger through the night but taper off before sunrise Friday. Friday will see partial clearing skies and chilly conditions behind a front that brought in the last batch of rain. The skies will clear late in the day and the overnight temperatures will be cold in the clear and quiet night.
Here are some of the rainfall totals from this week, as of Thursday evening.

Saturday will be the beginning of a run of 60+ degree days as high pressure builds in the area. The ridge will provide mostly sunny skies over the weekend and highs above our normal high of 53 for this weekend. Highs will be in the low 60s Saturday and the middle 60s Sunday.
Even milder conditions are expected on Monday as we peak in the upper 60s. Our overnight weather will be quiet and dry as well with lows below freezing most locations away from Bend. The chilly nights and lingering moisture may allow for some frost to build on your windshields each morning for a couple day so keep the scraper handy.
We will stay dry through the middle of next week with highs in the 60s most locations. The next chance for showers will not arrive until late Wednesday, but more likely early Thursday.
Please, Stay safe.
