Rainy and mild pattern over the weekend, gusty at times
Bend, Ore (KTVZ). There will be some gusty winds to go along with our rainy day today. Gusts near 25 mph at times tonight and tomorrow morning. There is a Wind Advisory north of our Tri-Counties in Wasco County overnight, which is just north of Jefferson County, so batten down the hatches and secure your bins.
As for the rain, there will be some spotty rain showers off and on tonight at this wave of rain exits the region. A weak cold front passes tonight as well, and will pull any lingering moisture with it. The overnight time frame will be partly cloudy and chilly, but no mountain snow is likely.
Saturday begins with some showers lingering over the east face of the Cascades, near Sisters and western Jefferson County. The winds relax by mid-morning and we may see a little sunshine at times. Generally, Saturday will be a breezy and mild day.
Sunday will be another cloudy and mild day with scattered showers. The region is dealing with a persistent pattern of precipitation into next week. Highs will be in the 50s through the forecast period.
Monday will be another hit or miss day with the showers. Temperatures in the middle 50s and breezy at times.
Tuesday will be the wettest day of the new work week with a flow of moisture streaming in from the Pacific. An atmospheric river set-up will dominate the Pacific Northwest starting Tuesday and the coastal and mountain regions will see potentially flooding rains.
Soaking and minor street flooding may occur next week as the cumulative effect of several days of rain will take its toll. Wednesday and Thursday are still wet as the “river” lingers.
Highs will possibly hit the 60s on Wednesday.
Please, Stay safe.
