A mild Monday with periods of rain, showers pick up Tuesday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A strong atmospheric river will bring periods of widespread heavy rain to the Pacific Northwest Monday through Wednesday. Flooding concerns are focused on NW Oregon and SW Washington.

Even though amounts will be considerably lower east of the Cascades, Central Oregon will still see multiple rounds of rain in the coming days.

If you’re heading to the downtown Bend tree lighting, expect temperatures in the mid to upper 40s throughout the event. Rain chances are very low.

Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine on Monday with periods of rain. Highs will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s.

Tuesday looks to be the wettest day of the week for Central Oregon with showers throughout the day. The highest rainfall totals are expected in southern and western Deschutes County.

The rainy pattern tapers off midweek around Wednesday to Thursday.

Temperatures remain on the mild side this week, with most highs reaching the upper 50s to 60s. Above normal for the beginning of December!
