Freezing fog again this morning for much of Central Oregon

KTVZ

Many of us in Central Oregon are waking up to freezing fog again this morning.

The good news is high pressure is slowly breaking down, so we could finally get some relief from the mist soon. Meanwhile, southern Deschutes County has been seeing more sunshine.

The chance to see that sun in Bend and areas north improves today. If we break out of the fog, highs should climb above freezing. If it hangs on, it will be difficult to even reach 30 degrees.

An Air Quality Advisory remains in effect until 10am today. This is due to stagnant air trapping smoke and other pollutants near the ground.

Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy on Friday, with much less fog left around the region.

A colder air mass moves in from the northwest, so we won’t warm up much. Highs will top out in the low 30s.

There will be a slight warm up on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 40s.

Monday may bring a passing shower south of Deschutes County, but we should stay dry and variably cloudy on the High Desert.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures warm back up into the low 50s.
