Scattered rain/mixed showers, Cascade snow, isolated t-storm chance
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A Local Alert Weather Day has been issued for Wednesday. Periods of snow and gusty winds are expected in the Cascades, while lower elevations along Highway 97 may see a mix of rain and snow. There’s also a small chance of an isolated thunderstorm with some of the showers.
While major impacts aren’t expected, travel and outdoor plans could be affected at times as conditions change.

We’re tracking scattered rain and rain/snow mix showers on the High Desert today. A cold front will move through the area, bringing our highs into the 40s while southwest winds pick up.
Plan on mostly rainy and breezy conditions Wednesday. Little to no accumulation is expected, but some areas could be dealing with slushy roadways.
A Winter Weather Advisory went into effect at 4am for the Cascades. Snow levels will hover around 4,500 feet, which means Santiam and Willamette Pass will likely see snow. If you're traveling through the mountains, be prepared for slick roads and allow extra travel time.
A few lingering showers are possible Thursday, mainly in the mountains. Skies will gradually clear with sunshine returning, but temperatures will stay in the mid 40s.
A warm up is on the way, with 50s Friday and low 60s on Saturday and Sunday. It's shaping up to be a great weekend for outdoor plans.
And a quick reminder: Daylight Saving Time begins early Sunday morning, meaning longer daylight in the evenings but one less hour of sleep.
