REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Redmond Urban Area Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to review the proposed Redmond East Gateway land use application. The hearing, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Redmond City Hall, focuses on a Master Development Plan and a Zoning Map Amendment aimed at diversifying land uses in East Redmond.

The Redmond East Gateway project, situated at 901 E Highway 126, seeks to change existing zoning to allow for a broader range of commercial and industrial activities. This proposal also includes adopting a Master Development Plan to guide future development, addressing essential infrastructure like transportation and utilities.

The City of Redmond encourages community members to attend the hearing and provide testimony for the Planning Commission's consideration. For those unable to attend in person, an online meeting option is available. Individuals wishing to provide oral testimony virtually must pre-register by 4:00 p.m. on May 20, 2026, by emailing PublicTestimony@redmondoregon.gov.

The city solicits public testimony on development proposals to gather new perspectives, facts and evidence that may not have been previously considered. Community members can learn more about the proposal or how to submit testimony by contacting Landon Stevens, City Planner, at 541-504-3044 or landon.stevens@redmondoregon.gov. Information is also available on the City's Active Land Use Notices webpage at www.redmondoregon.gov/landusenotices.
