Prineville DoorDash Driver Arrested, Accused of Shooting at Customer

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Tyler James Blaylock, a 33-year-old Prineville resident and DoorDash driver, was arrested Friday, June 26, after allegedly firing multiple shots following a verbal argument.

Police say, "As the victim waited for the delivery in a vehicle outside the home, they became upset over the approaching delivery driver’s careless driving through the neighborhood."

A verbal argument ensued and Blaylock reportedly fired several shots as he drove away from the scene. Bullet casings consistent with initial reports were later found by police at the location.

A Deschutes County Sheriff's Office deputy located Blaylock's vehicle on Highway 97 near milepost 131 just before 4 a.m. The deputy, along with a Redmond police officer, stopped the vehicle on Airport Way in Redmond, where Blaylock was detained without incident.

Bend Police took Blaylock into custody on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangering and menacing. He was held at Bend Police before being transfered to the Deschutes County Jail.

In a statement to KTVZ News, a DoorDash spokesperson said, "There is no excuse for this reckless behavior and we have zero tolerance for it on our platform. We immediately deactivated the associated account and are committed to supporting law enforcement’s efforts to hold this individual accountable.”
