Dry pattern continues with rising temperatures

KTVZ

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Temperatures have been gradually warming across Central Oregon this week, and we'll be running above average by the holiday weekend thanks to a broad ridge of high pressure building over the Pacific Northwest.

Expect highs in the mid to upper 70s today, with low 80s in Jefferson County. We'll see increasing afternoon clouds, but conditions will stay dry.

It will still be breezy at times, though winds won't be quite as strong as earlier in the week.

Mostly sunny skies return Friday as temperatures climb into the 80s.

Highs will reach the upper 80s across most of the region for the Fourth of July. If you're heading out to fireworks Saturday night, temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s around 10pm.

The warming trend continues into early next week, with highs climbing into the low 90s on Sunday and Monday.

Highs will drop into the upper 80s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and dry weather to stick around, with no rain in the forecast.
