Summerlike warmth sticks around this week

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A strong ridge of high pressure will keep Central Oregon dry and warmer than normal this week, making it feel more like summer than fall.

Expect plenty of sunshine today with highs in the mid to upper 80s. That is well above our typical highs in the upper 60s this time of year.

Overnight temperatures will dip into the 40s under mostly clear skies.

Tuesday brings another warm day, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Temperatures will gradually ease but remain above average through the workweek. Mostly sunny skies will continue to dominate the forecast.

Highs could still reach the 80s Friday before a much cooler weekend arrives.

Saturday highs could dip into the mid 70s as a trough moves in. This system could bring breezier winds and a slight chance of rain over the weekend.

Sunday could be even cooler, with highs in the upper 50s.

We’ll have a clearer picture of the rain’s timing and intensity as the weekend gets closer.
