Clearing, but staying chilly

-GOOD THURSDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

With a nice ridge of high pressure over the region, we will see plenty of sunshine today, but we will be staying a bit on the chilly side. Highs will only reach the low to mid 40's and breezes are expected to be light and variable. Skies will stay mostly clear tonight, but we can also expect some patchy freezing fog to settle in. Lows will range from the mid teens to mid 20's with light and variable winds.

More sunshine is expected for Friday and Saturday as highs warm a bit; climbing into the low to mid 50's. The cloud cover will thicken Saturday night and deliver a 20% chance of some scattered rain showers Sunday. Highs will stay in the low to mid 50's. Nw winds will become quite gusty Sunday and stay pretty breezy into Monday. The system bringing the wind and rain will be descending from the north and it will be slow to leave. It will be a cold, wet system that will drop our daytime highs from the mid 40's Monday to the upper 30's Wednesday. It will also bring a chance of rain showers during the day and snow showers overnight.

While snow total estimates for Mt. Bachelor are not in just yet, this has the potential to be their first big snow. Whether or not it is going to be enough for the ski season to open Thanksgiving weekend remains to be seen.
