Dense Smoke Advisory in effect
As we continue to feel the impact from the wildfires burning across the state, Central Oregon has now been put under a Dense Smoke Advisory through Monday at noon.
That's also when our Air Quality Alert is set to expire, for now.
The Department of Environmental Quality still shows Central Oregon has some of the worst air quality in the state, and we expect that to last through the weekend.
Winds continue to stay on the calmer side, keeping the smoke at the surface level.
The big question is, "When will this get better?"
Well, we might have an answer for you.
It looks like after the Dense Smoke Advisory and Air Quality Alert expire on Monday, the smoke will slowly start to move out of the region, starting with the southern parts of the High Desert.
It will not necessarily go away completely, it will just become more favorable.
Then Tuesday through next Saturday, we have between a 15%-45% chance to see some showers.
