Cool & windy

GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

The cooldown begins today, but we will hold off rain and snow until the end of the week. Partly cloudy skies today will be accompanied by highs in the low to mid 50's. Gentle NW breezes this morning will pick up to 10-20 mph this afternoon, with gusts to 30 mph. Winds will become light and variable this evening and remain there overnight. Skies will be partly cloudy. Lows in the 20's will bring a frosty morning.

We will see more sunshine Thursday, but we won't warm up to more than the mid 40's to low 50's. Winds will be much lighter, out of the NE. Friday's highs will be in the low to mid 50's. A chance of rain through the day will increase to a likelihood of rain and snow overnight as lows dip to freezing and below. Much of Central Oregon could wake up to snow Saturday morning. That will break up by early afternoon, but very cold temperatures will be left behind. Saturday's highs will be around 40 and Sunday in the low to mid 30's. Overnight lows will sink into the teens. We will see more sunshine and a modest warming trend going into next week.
