Clear & chilly

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

Cold arctic air descends into Central Oregon and delivers us a chilly day. Skies will remain pretty clear, but daytime highs are only expected to reach the mid 40's to around 50 degrees. Light and variable breezes may take on a bit of a northerly flow. Those breezes will calm this evening and stay calm overnight. Skies will become partly cloudy. Frost will develop, as lows dip to the mid-teens to mid 20's.

Clouds will thicken Friday, and as we sit just ahead of our first taste of winter, highs will warm to the mid to upper 50's, with a few spots hitting 60. Those thicker clouds will deliver rain and snow Friday night. We will see lows down to freezing and below, along with very gusty NW winds. Snow showers will take us through Saturday morning. Clearing skies will be accompanied by some very cold temperatures. It will be a struggle just to hit 40 degrees Saturday, with lows in the teens.

Sunday will be the coldest day, with highs in the mid 30's under mostly sunny skies. Sunday night's lows will range from single digits to the mid-teens. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny into next week. Expect a warming trend to have our highs back into the mid 60's by Wednesday.
