Bend DMV moving to temporary quarters

KTVZ

The Bend DMV field office will be closed Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26, during its move to a temporary location a short distance away from its current location, officials said Monday.

The office is scheduled to reopen Monday, April 29, in the temporary site at 63030 O.B. Riley Road. The Bend office will offer DMV services at this temporary location during renovation of its long-term office space in the Oregon Department of Transportation building on Highway 97.

The Bend DMV office hours will remain the same: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except opening 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.

In addition, all DMV offices including Headquarters will be closed Friday, April 19, for the mandatory statewide furlough.

DMV lines tend to be longer on the days just before and just after a holiday, furlough or other closure. So DMV recommends that people who need to do business at the Bend DMV try to visit the office more than a day before or after these closures.

DMV also suggests that you first check www.OregonDMV.com before visiting a field office in person. Customers can complete some DMV business online or find out how to make their visit as efficient as possible.
