Two grants assist Family Kitchen in Bend

KTVZ

Recently, the Board of Trustees for Family Kitchen was overjoyed to accept two grants that will help them continue serving those who are hungry. The first, a $10,000 grant from the Hollis Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation and the second, an undisclosed amount from the Bend Foundation.

“These grants represent thousands of meals, yet as importantly, they represent confidence on the part of these well-established funders in our service and operations,” said Donna Jacobsen, Family Kitchen’s development and marketing director. “We are so very grateful for these generous partners who walk alongside us in serving our neighbors.”

To assist in growing the individual donor base and in spreading the word about Family Kitchen’s mission, a “Donate Now” button has been added to the website at www.familykitchen.org. If you’d like to get involved through donating money, ingredients or time, please visit the website and get in touch.
