‘Breakfast with Santa’ cheers foster children

KTVZ

On Sunday at The Pine Tavern, children of all ages got to enjoy a special breakfast with a jolly fellow from the North Pole. The 23rd annual “Breakfast with Santa” was hosted by the Assistance League of Bend for the foster families of Deschutes County.

Each of the 130 kids got to sit on Santa’s lap and have their picture taken.

We caught up with the chairwoman of the Assistance League of Bend and asked her what the breakfast means to her.

“This is the spirit of Christmas, for me,” Cindy Rowley said. “This is my Christmas present to myself. It’s joy.”

After getting their picture taken and chatting with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, each kid got to pick out a special toy to go home with.

The Assistance League of Bend is a 21 Cares for Kids partner.
