Woman arrested in SE Bend drug raid

Tips and complaints from the public helped lead to a drug raid Sunday evening and the arrest of a woman accused of selling heroin from her southeast Bend trailer, police said.

A week earlier, Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies asked Bend police to find and arrest Karla Marie Fisher, 40, on a no-bail arrest warrant stemming from probation violation on an original charge of heroin possession, said Sgt. John Lawrence.

With help from concerned citizens and the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) Team, officers determined Fisher was living in space No. 12 at the Patio Trailer Park, 330 SE Woodland Blvd., and selling user amounts of heroin from her trailer, Lawrence said.

Police executed a search warrant on the trailer around 6:45 p.m. Sunday and contacted Fisher, who was arrested without incident.

Lawrence said officers found user amounts of heroin and “copious amounts of drug-related paraphernalia.” The sergeant said.

Fisher was taken to the Deschutes County Jail Sunday night on the Clackamas County warrant and charges of heroin possession and frequenting a place where drugs are used, kept or sold. Lt. Nick Parker said she was issued a citation, rather than booked into the jail.

“The Bend Police Department is constantly striving to maintain the livability of our community,” Lawrence said in a news release. “We encourage neighbors. Business owners and citizens to report all suspected drug activity.”
