Search on for missing The Dalles man

The Dalles police are asking the public for information in hopes of finding a Wasco County 911 dispatcher who disappeared over the weekend.

Police said they have no evidence of any foul play in the disappearance of Travis D. Church, 23, last seen at his home in The Dalles around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, and they don’t believe he is in danger.

However, family members and friends searching for him said they fear otherwise, as Church left his phone and other personal items, along with his animals, and didn’t have anyone checking in.

Church is a Wasco County 911 dispatcher and according to family friends had been conditionally offered his “dream job” with The Dalles Police Department, after a testing period.

Church’s vehicle, also missing, is a 2010 Cobalt Blue four-door Jeep Rubicon with a black hard top and Oregon license plate 300 DNR. Church is described as 5-foot-10 and 155 pounds, with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police Chief Jay Waterbury said he was unaware of any medical issues that could have played a role in Church’s disappearance He asked anyone with information about the missing-person case to contact The Dalles police at (541) 496-2233, case No. D140490.
