Reed Market Road to close for RR crossing rebuild

KTVZ

Reed Market Road will be closed in both directions for two weeks beginning Tuesday morning at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing.

BNSF is rebuilding the crossing and detours will be in place, city officials said.

The best and least congested route around the closure is via 15th Street, Greenwood Avenue and Third Street. Only local traffic should use Reed Market Road, Wilson Avenue, Bear Creek Road, Franklin Avenue and Ninth Street.

Flaggers will be in place at some intersections to help control the flow of traffic.

The BNSF project is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, October 6. At that time, Reed Market Road will be fully open in both directions from Third Street to 27th Street.
