Deschutes County to operate Sisters city building program

KTVZ

Beginning in July, Deschutes County’s Building Safety Division will assume responsibility for the City of Sisters Building Program.

“We’re excited to continue and expand our partnership with the City of Sisters,” said Deschutes County Community Development Director Nick Lelack. “Through this effort, we will create a one-stop shop for all Sisters Country residents.”

The county will provide permit services at Sisters City Hall on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for customers applying for permits in both the City of Sisters and Deschutes County. The permit technician working at City Hall will be able to answer general questions, estimate fees, take permit applications and issue permits.

City of Sisters residents will continue to work with the Sisters Planning and Public Works staff on all their building projects.

Residents wanting to apply for Deschutes County or City of Sisters permits are also able to apply at the Deschutes County Building Safety Division’s main office in Bend Monday through Friday, in La Pine on Tuesdays and in Redmond on Thursdays.
