Redmond city councilors send $40 million police HQ bond measure to May ballot

Redmond city councilors voted 5-2 Tuesday night to send a $40 million bond measure to the May 17 ballot to fund a new, larger police headquarters. Councilors Ed Fitch and Clifford Evelyn wanted a firm cap on the $49 million project, which Mayor George Endicott says may happen in a budget adjustment in coming weeks, for unanimity.
