Coke revenue rises along with prices; ups outlook for 2022

Coca-Cola posted higher-than-expected sales in the second quarter due to price increases and higher demand at theme parks and other venues. The Atlanta-based company said revenue grew 12% in the April-June period to $11.3 billion. That was well ahead of Wall Street forecasts. Coke said higher prices aren’t yet impacting consumer demand. Coke’s net income fell 28% to $1.9 billion for the quarter as it spent more on marketing and absorbed losses in Russia, where it halted sales in March. Â Excluding one-time items, Coke earned 70 cents per share in the quarter, also higher than analysts forecast.
