Winds prompt debris-burning closure near Bend

KTVZ

Debris burning has been closed in the Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District #2, for Tuesday and most likely Wednesday due to increasing winds as a frontal system passes through.

Burning is ALWAYS prohibited within the Bend city limits, fire officials said.

When burning reopens, be sure to have a copy of the Burn Regulations on hand and call 541-322-6335 for up to date information on burning.

FireFree and the Deschutes County Solid Waste are offering half-price yard debris disposal from October 30 through November 11. This is an excellent alternative to burning debris, officials said.
