The Crook County Court will hold two public meetings to discuss the Crook County Natural Resources Plan. Public meetings will take place November 6 and November 8. The schedule is as follows:
Crook County Courthouse : Monday, November 6, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Crook County room. 320 N.E. Court Street Prineville, Oregon 97754
Crook County Courthouse : Wednesday, November 8, 9:00 a.m. in the Crook County room.
320 N.E. Court Street Prineville, Oregon 97754
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for citizens to learn about and comment on the Crook County Natural Resources Plan. By adopting a natural resource policy, the Crook County Court will establish a mechanism to work with the federal government on an ongoing basis that maintains the health of the forest and access to public lands for the citizens of Crook County.
“Crook County citizens enjoy and respect our surrounding public lands,” said Seth Crawford, Crook County Judge. “It is important that we have local input on how we care for our natural resources. Crook County hopes to establish a process that will strengthen our relationship with the federal government by providing a written record of the community’s customs and culture.”
