Free yard debris disposal in Prineville Saturday

KTVZ

Prineville and Crook County residents are encouraged to dispose of yard debris at dumpsters located next to the City of Prineville’s Davidson Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Placement of the yard debris in dumpsters is free.

As part of the “100 Yards of Yard Debris Challenge” the City of Prineville and Crook County Air Quality Committee are providing two 20 yard dumpsters and two 30 yard dumpsters (100 yards in total). Residents can dispose of leaves, branches and other vegetative yard debris.

The goal is to improve air quality by filling four dumpsters (100 yards of debris) with leaves and branches and other yard debris that would otherwise be burned. No non-vegetative debris or debris from commercial landscape/yard debris removal businesses will be accepted. Yard debris will be accepted for free on a first come first serve basis.

For more information regarding the Free Yard Debris Day, call 541-447-5727.

The City of Prineville and the Crook /county Air Quality Committee are dedicated to maintaining a clean, healthy community.
