Kaycee Anseth Legacy Foundation

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Kaycee Anseth Legacy Foundation is pleased to announce our upcoming monthlong gallery exhibit celebrating the life, work, and legacy of artist Kaycee Anseth, while also supporting Central Oregon artists through grants and community engagement.

The first event, "Art+Life+Grief+Joy" Gallery Opening, will take place on Thursday, May 2nd, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Hosted by the Kaycee Anseth Legacy Foundation Board Members and Grantees, this evening promises a multi-disciplinary and interactive showcase of never-before-seen original pieces by the late artist Kaycee Anseth as well as new and exciting pieces from community artists.

The exhibition will also highlight the impactful work of the legacy foundation she leaves behind. The event aims to bring together artists, community members, and supporters to raise awareness and much-needed funds. These funds will continue to remove financial obstacles for Central Oregon Artists, empowering them to excel in their creative endeavors.

"We are excited to unveil this unique exhibition that pays tribute to Kaycee Anseth's remarkable talent and the enduring impact of her legacy," said Cyr Beckley, Art Director and board member and friend to the late artist. "This event is not only a celebration of art but also a call to action to support our local artists and ensure they have the resources they need to thrive."

The "Art+Life+Grief+Joy: Coffee Talk" event will follow on Saturday, May 18th, from 10:30 am to noon. Attendees can enjoy coffee, pastries, and an engaging discussion with KALF grantees, who will share their experiences of life, grief, and growth as creators in the community. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mugs, with coffee and pastries provided by the foundation.

"We invite everyone to join us for a morning of Art+Life+Grief+Joy as we hear from a diverse group of talented creators," said Shanan Kelley, Director of Development for KALF. "By supporting this event, attendees will not only enjoy meaningful conversations but also contribute to the mission of the foundation, which is dedicated to removing financial barriers for artists and fostering a vibrant artistic community."

Both events are open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. The Gallery Opening and Coffee Talk events will take place at Scalehouse Collaborative for the Arts in downtown Bend, Oregon. The show will run from May 2nd through May 25th.
