This fall Oregon State University – Cascades will offer its first graduate course in public health. The course, Principles of Health Behavior, will apply towards OSU’s Graduate Certificate in Public Health.

The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is an online program designed for public health practitioners and others seeking professional development and continuing education within the field of public health. The program focuses on the five core areas of public health: epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion and behavior, environmental and occupational health, and health management and policy.

Geared towards professionals, Principles of Health Behavior will be delivered in an executive format where classes meet with an instructor over three intensive weekends. The course will be offered the weekends of October 12, November 9 and November 30, 2012.

To apply, students must complete a Printable Non-Degree Application, found at www.osucascades.edu/future-students/admission-forms. Non-degree students may apply up to eight graduate credits toward the Graduate Certificate in Public Health.

The deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5. For more information contact Sharon Henderson at 541-322-3100 or Sharon.henderson@osucascades.edu.
