Public can meet Buckingham Elementary principal finalists

Bend-La Pine Schools’ Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Programs, Lora Nordquist, invites the community to meet the finalists for the Buckingham Elementary School principal position.

The community forum will take place on Tuesday, May 6th, at 5 pm in the Buckingham Elementary School library.

The four finalists being considered for the position are Lisa Birk, currently assistant principal at Bear Creek Elementary School in Bend; David Cory, currently principal at Maywood Middle School in Corning, California; Sunshine Dandurand, currently assistant principal at the International School of Panama; and Vanessa Tobolski, currently assistant principal at Buckingham Elementary School in Bend.

The community forums are the last step of a daylong interview process that will also include formal interviews, teacher observation and feedback, and a writing task. The selected applicant will assume his/her new role on July 1, 2014.
