Transformer repair prompts COCC Boyle Ed. Center closure

A partial transformer failure has prompted Central Oregon Community College officials to close the Boyle Education Center Friday while repairs are made.

The main transformer outside of Boyle Education Center had a partial failure late Thursday and now needs to be replaced. The temporary replacement is scheduled to be installed Friday morning.

As a result, Boyle and the Campus Services buildings will be closed all day on Friday, May 30. If you have questions or need to reach someone at the College, please call the Switchboard at 541-383-7700, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. See below for details regarding normal Boyle services.

Campus Public Safety will continue to operate, accessible by calling 541-383-7272.

Financial Aid will be available in Redmond or by phone, 541-383-7260. Admissions & Records will be available in Redmond and available by phone 541-383-7500. Students on the Bend campus who need to submit Financial Aid or Admissions & Records paperwork may do so in the Office of Student Life (Campus Center), 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Regular services will be available in Redmond, Madras and Prineville.

Paychecks will be available in Human Resources (Newberry Hall), 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
