Partial, temporary trail closure at Pilot Butte

KTVZ

The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close a small section of trail at Pilot Butte State Park for repairs.

The closure affects the paved connection between the nature trail and the summit road trail. The dates of repair work are June 9th through approximately June 18th.

The trailhead at the eastside parking lot will remain open, allowing access to the nature trail and base trail; hiking between the parking lot and road trail is restricted during construction hours but should be available in the evenings.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience while we make these much needed repairs,” states Susan Bethers, park manager. “The repairs will make this trail segment much more user-friendly in the future.”
